A solar and battery system is a long-term investment — typically 20+ years for the panels — and like any investment, it performs best with a bit of ongoing care. IoSola’s optional maintenance and monitoring plans are designed for customers who’d rather have small issues caught early by us than discover a bigger problem the hard way, mid-outage.
What's Included in a Maintenance Plan
- Scheduled panel cleaning — especially important after Highveld dust storms or bird activity that can quietly reduce output.
- Visual inspections of panels, wiring, and mounting once or twice a year.
- Battery and inverter performance checks to catch degradation before it affects your backup cover.
- Remote monitoring of your system's output and health, so small issues get flagged before they become expensive ones.
Why Monitoring Matters
A panel covered in Highveld dust, a battery that’s slowly losing capacity, or an inverter throwing an intermittent fault — none of these announce themselves loudly. Left unchecked, they quietly erode the savings and backup cover you installed the system for in the first place. Remote monitoring means we can often spot and resolve an issue before you even notice a change in performance.
